How to Detox Cleanse the Right Way

Eat Clean

Choose organic foods whenever possible to avoid pesticides commonly found on fruits and vegetables.

Detox Water

Stay hydrated. You can create your own detox water using your favorite fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Cucumber and mint, lemon, and lemon ginger are commonly recommended because they have known detox properties. Simply add the ingredients and let them sit in the water from one hour to overnight before consuming. Detox water is one of the best ways to help rid your body of toxins. Water is particularly important when you are attempting to detox. Once you begin to release toxins from your organs, you must consume water to flush them out of your body.

Detox Foods

Some foods are natural detoxifiers. These include cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and spinach, berries, garlic, and spices like turmeric. Incorporating these foods into your diet will help your body detox without causing stress to the body. To further support your body, you should also consume healthy protein and fats. These include seafood, lean meat, eggs, nuts, coconut oil, and avocados. Gut health is essential for good overall health and detoxification. Natural probiotic foods include yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, and kombucha.
